Threat for tornadoes returns Friday afternoon

Dangerous storms including the threat for tornadoes is possible Friday afternoon into early evening.

The risk for severe weather in Oklahoma today is conditional. Areas that warm with some sunshine after the morning rain will have the greatest threat for damaging storms.

If storms get going they will develop a damaging hail, wind and tornado threat.

The storm window to watch for the greatest risk will be from 2-7 p.m. on Friday. The zone for storms will be from central Oklahoma along and near Interstate 35 and into eastern Oklahoma.

Thunderstorms will come to and end as cooler air moves into the state later Friday into Friday night. Sunshine is expected for most of the state on Saturday.
